XJ, rupture at all levels

I’m a fan of Ian Callum. The engineering designer has designed many beautiful cars, the Aston Martin DB7 and Vanquish. Now that Jaguar has entrusted the reins of his stylistic changes, the brand has evolved considerably. After the surprising XF and XK / XKR really successful XJ version appeared. Bearer (or aircraft carrier …) fleet Jaguar, the XJ has always maintained a link with the past, Jaguar, while trying to bring modernism. I especially noted the aluminum body of the latest XJ, which made it very light for a limousine course, as well as preier Touch Screen.
But the last XJ goes beyond: design mark a clear break with the old. Grille, lights, the trunk … there is not much evidence taken from the old version! And yet, affiliation with Jaguar is present. The class of the device, charisma and style to be clear between nonchalance and ostentention make it really attractive.
And when you come inside, it’s a shock. We went to the Walnut with a riot of high-tech equipment: GPS, techno futuristic design, blue color … It is the antithesis of Jaguar, normally very conservative. And when you see the digital meters animate startup is hysterical feeling. In addition, the car wants to environmentally responsible cleaner construction and 85% recyclable. So, frankly, I am a fan.
In short, the XJ is a little Avatar for cars: it is in video (2D), but true (3D), it must truly represent the future of limousine.
